If you have played with the new version of heretic in the round, but not as a heretic, what was your experience?
they had less spells and were less of a threat
stupidly overpowered
This rework does not solve the main issues with heretic in MRP, mainly how much of a "walk up, funny hand, wordlessly kill" antagonist it is. I don't think it has a place in MRP
I watched Boris Manov ascend as ash on the first round of new heretics and get completely shut down by a standard Gygax lol.
I think they are better to deal with now. You have a much clearer idea of the kind of heretic you are fighting and what they can do
Moon heretic being immune to holy melons is something I personally like because holy melons are cringe as fuck.
Hopefully the further incoming adjustments will put the remaining concerns here at ease.
It felt less oppressive to fight, but they definitely died faster than expected. I'm still leaning towards that being due to the learning curve of new heretic, rather than being inherent to new heretic

other times heretics uhhhhhh i didn't seen em? like they are in round but get 0-1 sacrifices, or ascend when shuttle already departed, can't say much.
I was off station most of that time, but it did feel like they ascended quicker than usual
he just blown up all station with single tanks
As a non seccie, I didn't really get to interact with them at all. They just either got dealt with or I randomly got hit with the ascension message and the shuttle got called.
As a seccie, they either show up out of nowhere completely stacked to massacre someone in the brig and then ascend soon after, or manage to die in maints somewhere. Heretics in sec radio are always a massive threat. They seemingly have no early game, or we just aren't able to fight them during it.
verry buggy and unbalanced, two heretic wiping probably 35~ ish people and killing all of sec, plus on heretic choosing moon path just got killed by a bug no one knows realy why or how it happend
Did not even notice them even though I play a lot of sec. Entirely possible they were just friendtagging though as this is Manuel
i think lock heretics are really annoying, but otherwise, they're a lot more dynamic to fight
Heretic barely had any impact on my round.
Was not that fun, then again I joined late and the heretic was already beyond stopping.
I haven't played heretic ever.
Didnt notice much different from the usual heretic experience
Generally very good, they feel very powerful and round ending after ascension now - a big positive.
Major issue I saw was the heretic path that makes the heretic take brain damage instead of any other kind as well as being stun immune felt very broken. As powerful as any other ascended heretic as soon as they get the robe. Healed brain damage far too fast and every stun other than a stun baton did zero brain damage.

Too many summons. Even when the heretic isn't going a summon-oriented path, there's always too many of them and they're too powerful for anybody to deal with.
