It's not important at all - along with the thermal pistols I always see them get ordered by Security but never used. But they shouldn't be removed.

unique shotgun shells are easier to research now so combat shotgun is kinda nice to have

Absolutely. A short-range ranged weapon has just as much of a place as a long-ranged weapon. Shotguns provide a different theme and use case, and are honestly just really cool. If they hadn't been nerfed into irrelevancy, they'd be used a lot more often.

No, the combat shotguns aren't important, but it would be nice to have another way of getting bandoliers from cargo.

It's usually not the stuff that people buy mostly, especially with laser buff. they also cant be weared on armor slot, so it's not very popular gun to choose. Therefore, there is not reason to delete or remove it from cargo (If you remove them from cargo, how the crew are going to get it? If someone really would want that crappy junk). It's better just to leave it, because there is no serious impact on the rounds, no matter if it will get removed or not.

Eh, on one side, we do get our riot shotguns, which basically get the job done but require one button press extra. On the other hand, the combat shotgun is pretty cool and useful due to it having semi auto fire. I'm not particularly bothered anyways, I don't use shotguns and I don't order combat shotguns either when i'm sec/warden/HoS.

Yes, I think its good to have a crew orderable shotgun. I enjoy the dynamic they can add into a shift

Combat shotguns were kind of mediocre to begin with, so it doesn't make much difference.

I think riot shotguns are cooler too, but I do think that cargo should be able to order some higher tier gear like combat shotties. I think it can be helpful to crew when they need it, but I also think it helps drive interesting conflict.

Yes, although the combat shotgun is not particularly good- having the option/variety there is awesome.

I think all shotguns should be available by cargo order. I am, frankly, disturbed by the unusual lack of ballistics in security. The antags are already so powerful, why can't we have a little ballistics? I think they should make buckshot available on a hacked cargo console.

I think it's good to have at least some sort of dedicated security shotgun orderable from cargo.

Not really, they kind of suck in all honesty because you can't holster them and they have less ammo than the riot shotties

there s no real reason to remove them + it s the only shotgun kind of weapon obtainable in normal circumstances and has some funny shenanigans with eventual black market buckshots and adv shells. bring back wt's nerds

Yes, this is a good weapon that has 7 types of cartridges and the most affordable shotgun in the game.

I don't neccisarily think it's important for combat shotties to be available from cargo in base form. I do like having it as a "goodie" catagory along with the double barrel. What I REALLY want though is instead of putting the combat shotgun back in as an orderable crate, having an orderable "modification kit" for pipe rifles to change them from only taking junk shells, to back to the old "Single Barrel" style shotguns they were. Maby as contraband or emag on the cargo console.

Honestly yes, I like riot shotguns but I don't see any reason to remove combat shotguns from the game, even though I do like the new rifle.

Combat shotguns are one of my favorite weapons, and while it would obviously be better to have them in armory, especially considering they have the downside compared to riot shotguns of not fitting in suit storage and being unable to be sawed off, if that can't be done then cargo is the only viable way to balance them.

Not really. It's pretty redundant with the riot shotgun from the armoury the upside of not having to manually rack the weapon isn't particularly important. The downside of it being bulky and not fitting on most suit storage slots isn't worth its minor upside. The only value it brings in existing as a cargo order is having a way to add more non pipegun shotguns to a round.

Riot shotguns are better so i dont think it is that important. I do think cargo should have a chance to get one of those russian revolers space russians have inside a russian surplus crate.

Haven't seen them been used that much. From non-security's side, stealing the bartender's shotgun is much easier, cheaper and faster.

They should be able to be ordered only through an emmaged/hacked console. Maybe warden should have a special order console in sec, which would order the advanced weaponry.

probably yes, they serve the niche roll of being able to unload laser scatter / rubber shot in intense cult/revs scenarios and have several unique ammo types

Yes, There is no reason to remove the Combat Shotguns completely just so more untested, gimmicky weapons can have the spotlight.

yes, they offer vareity and are a viable alternative if someone prefers not to constantly check if they have to do maintanance on their firearm for it to work

Cargo being able to order SOME form of shotgun is fairly important, as sources for ballistics are already thin as it is, and some things are best dealt with via ballistics as opposed to energy weapons.

If they get removed from cargo order I think they should get converted into a science-researched upgrade package for riot shotguns like the ones for energy weapons.
